Coach Jerry is in his 15th year of coaching youth sports in the Nazareth area.

He has coached in the Babe Ruth league and the Cal Ripkin leagues as well as Connie Mack for baseball.

This has included either Head Coach or Assistant Coach responsibilities for Spring and  Fall baseball as well as summer Tournament team baseball and All-Star teams.  

Along with coaching baseball during this timeframe he also has coached Football,  Basketball,  Soccer and Volleyball in the Nazareth area.

Coach Jerry believes in repetitive practice and the review of basic fundamentals and an overall good understanding of Baseball.

He is a believer in perfecting all the areas of baseball,  not only hitting, fielding and pitching but areas of major impact like base running, bunting and defensive positioning.

He also believes no matter how long you have played or coached a sport you always have something to learn and teach.

Having the opportunity to work with the Nazareth Thunder team gives him an excellent opportunity to interact with a highly experienced coaching staff who truly believes that baseball can and will be fun when played the right way.

Coach Jerry is big believer of analytics in baseball and will maintain team statistics to assist the coaching staff and players in addressing strengths and weaknesses to get better.

AJ is currently finishing up his senior year at Nazareth High. He played catcher and outfield on Nazareth Thunder for 2 years under Ray, Sean, and Jerry.  This is a team that he “can’t stay away from” as he loves the program and truly bought into the system provided here.

His mantra for playing the game of baseball is energy.  You cant expect to win a game of baseball if you come out flat.

He believes that every player on this ball club has great potential, which in turn will put the team in positions to win games.

This is his first year coaching, and is looking forward to a great year of baseball!
